Rules of inference

I wish some of you guys came to that morning study session. There were some new things added to the toolkit that we have not been using yet. Maybe they are in the book somewhere but we have not used them in quizzes or tests. But enough about that.
How about that quiz. That took almost everyone the whole class to complete it. I rechecked mine for errors because it had such a small area to write in, and I had no place to work problems out. Did anyone think they did bad on it or had trouble with any part? I thought it was fun actually, and thought I did well, which is a great sign that I did horrible (seems like the trend for me in this class)
But I hope I did well.

  1. I did not come to the study session on thursday because I do not have a good enough grasp on the regular logic yet. If I understood everything better than I would definitely be willing to go to a more complex study session, but I don't.

As far as the quiz goes, I think I did well. This does not necessarily mean I did do well though. I usually have the same problem that you stated, I think I did well and then I did terribly instead. I get really frustrated sometimes because I always do all of the required work. I read and take notes on every section and then do all of the problems, but still seem to struggle with grasping the concepts. I think logic is just a subject that takes a long time to learn and that is that.

  2. Its free class any way you look at it. And it would help you with the stuff you already know. But your argument is valid, I just need to be
around it more, so I will take anything available.

  3. Yeah that is true. I suppose if you are interesting in someday pursuing a career in logic, this would be a good idea. I probably should be around it more but I have a class at that time anyways and would not be able to attend the "class".
