Call me crazy
You heard it before, we are killing the planet. I know it sounds crazy but we should not being doing that. I feel in my honest opinion that we should not kill the Earth. I know it sounds crazy, call me a loner or even an outcast. Maybe one day I will convert to normal-ism and I will start thinking that killing the Earth is cool, maybe even appropriate. For now, I will stand alone, helplessly consuming the earth killing riches.

Humans are far easier conditioned by instant gratification than by delayed.
ReplyDeleteIn your post, we (as a whole) could either spend our resources of time and money on preserving the planet for future generations or we could spend them on things that will affect us instantly, like building that new theme park or putting gas into that sweet 4.8 liter v8 ford superduty hog.
The choice is obvious, because we gain that reward of instant gratification, thats the one that will win out, every time.
It takes some serious will power to accept things that reward you with delayed gratification, like schoolwork, where you get that grade at the end of the semester.
I don't believe we are killing the planet at all. It got along just fine without us, and it will get along just fine when we're all gone. All we are really doing is killing ourselves, and we've done that to one another as a species for as long as we've been around.
